I feel like when it comes to football, chicken wings are a staple, am I right? These easy Air Fryer wings were so good! I was inspired by a friend of mine who told me she recently made them with Franks Red Hot. At first, I tossed them in a bag of almond flour and spices, but didn’t love the way they turned out so I scratched that idea and decided to just throw them in the air fryer raw. They turned out so much better! The key to getting them really crispy was to pat them dry with paper towel before putting them in the air fryer! I mixed up some hot sauce, avocado oil, salt and pepper and we chowed! Here are the details >

Ingredients:

  • 15-20 chicken wings (I bought a bag of frozen organic chicken wings from Trader Joe’s)
  • 1/2 cup of Franks red hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup of avocado oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Dry the chicken wings by patting them in between two paper towels. Place them upright in the air fryer leaving a little room in between them to allow the air to circulate (I used the wire rack to stand them up). Turn the air fryer on the chicken setting, at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Flip the wings and return them back to the fryer for another 10 minutes. Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix together the Franks red hot sauce, avocado oil and salt & pepper. Remove the wings from the air fryer and add them to bowl making sure to coat them evenly in the sauce. Return them to the air fryer for an additional 5 minutes until the sauce is glazed!

*For an extra spicy wing, coat them in the sauce one more time before serving. I served them with celery sticks and Primal Kitchen ranch dressing!
